UK to be hypnotised using Twitter and Facebook

A British hypnotist is set to cast a spell over the internet for a mass online hypnosis session.

Social Media Hypnotist Chris Hughes

The hypnotist, Chris Hughes, will try to set a world record casting the largest mass online hypnosis session. He will try to stick his followers’ hands together and leave them unable to open their eyes.

Not only people from the UK, but people all over the world have signed up to be hypnotised.

The event is called Social Trance and will be on 4 January 2010 at 8.30pm UK time. According to Chris Hughes this is the first attempt of its kind to hypnotise people via social networking sites.

Tjongolongo, I find it kind of freaky getting hypnotised over the web. I am quite curious to know whether or not it will work and how they will check it?

I know I have said it before, but I don’t think we’ve seen the last of uses for Social Media tools. I never would’ve thought of hypnosis through Facebook and Twitter, but on the 4th of January, it’ll be reality.

What Social Media event would you like to see?
